Ever since COVID the generosity of you, our supporters, has allowed us to develop a Wellbeing Fund, helping ensure our students can thrive during their time at Robinson. This year, we want your support to expand this, and provide more targeted assistance for students aimed at preventing problems from developing before they impact their experiences here.
Robinson’s Wellbeing Fund has a number of purposes within College – most notably the provision of hardship and accessibility support for those whose backgrounds or health mean that they need additional assistance. As central University funding pots are extremely oversubscribed, having such resources at the College level makes a real difference in ensuring that members of the community get the help they need when they need it.
Beyond this, the Wellbeing Fund also helps us to continue our ‘More Students, More Active, More Often’ programme – creating opportunities for students to engage with wider College life through a range of activities including therapy boxing, structured garden walks, and ‘wellbeing breakfasts’. By encouraging participation amongst those who might otherwise not reach out when in need of support, this preventative work ensures all of our students can thrive and feel supported here. The more support that we receive, the more innovative interventions we can run.
Philanthropy has already allowed us to appoint a Head of Welfare, and a Student Wellbeing Advisor – this BinsonGives, we hope you will consider giving to develop this vital resource, so that our community can make the most of this incredible place without financial or social restrictions holding them back.
